The steps:

1. Go to the web page whose address you want to use
2. Copy the long web address in the address bar
3. Change to www.tinyurl.com
4. Paste the long web address into the *Enter a long URL to make tiny:* box
5. Click on the *Make TinyURL* button
6. The tiny url will be displayed which can be used in e-mails.

The tiny url never expires.
